Description
Job Opportunity: Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: San Francisco, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Provide competent, compassionate, and cost-effective patient care in the Emergency Department.
- Follow unit, department, and hospital policies, evidence-based nursing practices, and standards of care.
- May be required to float to other campuses for support within scope of practice when census permits.
Schedule
- 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (36 hours/week total).
- Variable shifts including:
- Day: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Night: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Every other weekend rotation required; no on-call duties.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California.
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience within the last year.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC).
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) issued by AHA or ARC.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) issued by AHA or ARC.
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
