Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Location
- Lafayette, Indiana

Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- 36 hours per week
- Shift: 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM
- Weekends: Every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday)
- No call requirements
Unit Overview
- Unit Type: ICU, Medical-Surgical, Emergency Room, Level 3 NICU
- Number of Beds: 160
- Staff: 32 total (Day shift minimum 5-6 staff; Night shift minimum 4-4.5 staff)
- Patient Ratios: RVU system
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system: EPIC
Equipment Used
- Ventilators: PB, Drager V500
- BiPAP, V60 BiPAP
- Heated High Flow Nasal Cannula (HHFNC)
- Hamilton C transport ventilator
- Oscillator, Jet ventilator
- Nitric oxide delivery system
- Bubble CPAP
Required Qualifications
- Valid Respiratory Care Practitioner license in Indiana
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Care Practitioner
- Respiratory Care Practitioner experience within the last year
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- Proficient in assisting with intubations
- Skilled in assisting with bedside bronchoscopy (bronchs)
Preferred Qualifications
- Candidates with additional skills in ICU/CCU, NICU, and Emergency Care as an RT will be prioritized
Personality Fit
- Independent and self-motivated
- Willing to assist with higher patient loads and acuity
- Comfortable working in a Level 3 NICU environment
