Description
Cath Lab Tech - Travel/Contract
Location: Lafayette, Indiana
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Details
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
- Shift: Day shift, 4x10 hour shifts (typically 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM or 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM)
- Hours per week: 40 hours guaranteed (options for 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts with varying weekly totals)
- On-call required: 10-12 call shifts per month with a 30-minute response time; call duration 12-14 hours starting after shift or at 5 PM if not working that day
- Must work at least 1 winter holiday during the contract

- Pending state license accepted if application is submitted
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of recent Cath Lab Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
- ARRT (R) certification
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification

- Charting system: Cerner
- Parking: Free
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License or Passport (clear copy required)
- Background Check within 90 days of start, including:
- 7-year address/work history verification
- SSN Trace, County Criminal, Statewide, National Sex Offender, FACIS Level III
- Education verification (may be pending at start if needed)
- International search if lived/worked outside the US in past 7 years
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start
- Official Transcript or Diploma (clear copy, may be pending at start)
- State License verification within 30 days before start (primary source verification)
- HIPAA Acknowledgement required
- Competency exams including unit competency exam and color blindness testing (Ishihara exam or equivalent, 100% minimum score)
- Skills Checklist within 12 months and annually thereafter
- Minimum of 2 professional references from recent employment verified within 2 years (supervisory or managerial titles required)
- Current employment application with explanation of any gaps over 30 days, covering 7 years
Health & Safety Requirements
- Physical exam completed within 12 months of start date
- Fit mask test within 12 months of start date (approved respirators only)
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months of start date (no instant tests)
- Immunizations and titers required:
- Rubeola (Measles): Positive titer or 2 vaccines required; no declinations accepted
- Mumps: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required; no declinations accepted
- Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required; no declinations accepted
- Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required; no declinations accepted; history of disease not accepted
- Hepatitis B: Series, titer, or signed declination required
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap: Strongly recommended but not required
- Tuberculosis screening within 1 year of start (PPD, QuantiFERON-TB Gold, or T-SPOT) with chest x-ray if positive
- Seasonal Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (9/30 - 3/31); declinations not accepted
Additional Notes
- Block scheduling may be discussed but is not guaranteed
- Must be able to meet 30-minute on-call response time
- Must complete facility-specific compliance and orientation documents prior to start
- Prior travel experience is not required for this position
This position is ideal for Cath Lab Techs with strong interventional cardiology skills, comfortable with STEMI cases and EP devices, seeking a 13-week travel contract with day shifts and on-call responsibilities in a short-term acute care setting.
