Description
Registered Nurse – Med Surg Tele Unit
Location: Crescent City, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Hours per Week: 36
Job Description
- Provide direct nursing care for patients of all ages in the Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit.
- Manage care of assigned patients and direct activities of ancillary staff.
- Assess patients' physiological and psychological needs comprehensively.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
- Demonstrate leadership skills, including performing charge nurse functions.
- Use the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Required Certifications & Licenses
- California Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA or ARC only
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – AHA or ARC only
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – AHA or ARC only
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California.
- Minimum of 1 year of telemetry nursing experience, with telemetry experience within the last year.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Experience in charge nurse roles demonstrating leadership and management skills.
