Cath Lab Technologist

Location: Lakewood, Colorado
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Work in a cardiovascular catheterization lab performing scrub, monitor, and circulating roles.
• Support cases involving STEMI, cardiogenic shock, CAD, PAD, and atrial fibrillation/flutter.
• Average 10-20 cases per day across 2 cath labs, 2 EP labs, and 1 hybrid lab.
• Use EPIC electronic medical record system.

Schedule & Call

• 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (40 hours/week).
• Call required: 1-2 weeknights per week, 2 weekends per 6-week pay cycle, plus holidays.
• Call response time: 30 minutes.
• Floating within the department is required; extreme need may require floating to nearby zones/facilities.
• Unit-specific orientation provided (7 AM - 5:30 PM).

Required Certifications & Licenses

• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) via Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
• Certified Radiologic Technologist - ARRT (R)
• If ARRT (R) is not held, must obtain Colorado Fluoroscopy license (approximately 1 week to obtain).

Experience Requirements

• Solid experience as a STEMI and cardiovascular lab technician.
• Prior travel experience is not specified as required.

Additional Information

• Must be available in-state for the week of orientation, even if some modules are remote.
• Driver’s license must be submitted.
• Dress code/scrub color required.
• Call coverage averages 8-10 cardiologist hours per 6-week pay period.
