Shift Details

• Rotating Day/Night shifts (12-hour shifts)

  • Night: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
  • Day: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Shifts may vary to meet operational needs; facility may rotate shifts as necessary.
• Must work at least every other holiday.

Unit/Patient Population

• Med/Surg Telemetry
• Potential to float to units J1-2, J33, and Emergency Department caring for similar patient populations.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 18 months (1.5 years) of Med/Surg and Telemetry experience
• Med/Surg and Telemetry experience within the last year
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NIHSS certification

Orientation and Onboarding

• Completion of online training modules prior to start is mandatory.
• Modules must be completed on a computer using Google Chrome.
• Candidates cannot skip training videos before tests.
• Onboarding process may take multiple days.
• Candidates returning after a break longer than 6 months must re-complete modules.
• Baseline competency exams (medication and ECG) are completed during orientation.
• SafeMedicate prep materials provided before orientation.
• Facility will cover up to 4 hours of module time; additional time is not covered.

Additional Notes

• Candidates must carry a government-issued photo ID at all times during assignment.
• Candidates must be prepared to complete fingerprinting again at the facility.
• Candidates with latex allergies must notify the facility in advance.
• Religious and medical exemptions for vaccines and fit mask testing are accepted but require agency approval and facility review.
• Candidates must have at least 3 years of prior work history documented, including 2 years in acute care in a similar area.
• Must complete annual skills checklist.
• Candidates must be able to safely perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Summary

This is a 13-week travel Registered Nurse position in Med/Surg Telemetry with rotating 12-hour day and night shifts in Cleveland, Ohio. The role requires significant recent Med/Surg and Telemetry experience, Ohio licensure, and multiple certifications including BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS. Candidates must pass competency exams and complete extensive onboarding and health requirements prior to starting. The position involves working at least every other holiday and may require floating to related units.
