    Emergency Department RN - California

    Location

    • Fall River Mills, California

    Shift & Hours

    • Day Shift: 4:00 AM – 4:30 PM
    • 36 hours per week

    Job Summary

    • Provide nursing care for a wide range of medical conditions, injuries, and acute illnesses.
    • Ability to multi-task efficiently and assess/treat patients quickly, especially during acute illness or trauma onset.
    • Assist emergency room team leader and acute care nurse as directed.
    • Report directly to the on-duty Nursing Supervisor.

    Required Qualifications

    • Valid RN license in California.
    • Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing.
    • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience.
    • Emergency Department experience within the last year.
    • ACLS certification.
    • PALS certification.
    • BLS certification.

    Responsibilities

    • Conduct individualized patient assessments and prioritize care based on patient condition.
    • Notify Charge Nurse and physician of abnormal findings.
    • Develop and implement individualized patient care plans in collaboration with healthcare team.
    • Perform treatments as ordered, including EKGs, blood draws, IV starts.
    • Maintain cleanliness and restock work areas and beds.
    • Provide patient and family education.
    • Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately and timely.
    • Initiate emergency resuscitative measures per protocols.
    • Maintain patient confidentiality and provide culturally sensitive, non-discriminatory care.
    • Adhere to safety and infection control standards.
    • Assist nursing staff in other departments when qualified and needed.
    • Follow medication administration and narcotics control procedures.

    • Participate in annual evaluations and required meetings.
    • Exhibit the mission, ethics, and goals of the facility in job performance.
    • Report to work on time and complete assigned duties within scheduled hours.

    Working Conditions

    • Willingness to work beyond normal hours and temporarily in other positions as needed.
    • Interaction with personnel, visitors, and government agencies when necessary.
    • Must function independently with integrity, flexibility, and effective teamwork.

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to sit, stand, bend, lift, walk, and move intermittently during shifts.
    • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

    Note: Agency must sign the facility's standard agreement.
