Job Details
- Position: Cath Lab Registered Nurse
- Location: Mission Hills, California
- Employment Type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Day shift, 4 days a week, 10 hours per day (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: ASAP
- Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital, Magnet Facility
- Total Staffed Beds: 377

- Scrub Color: Any color allowed; L/D & OR scrubs provided
Job Requirements
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
- Minimum 1 year of Cardiac Cath Lab experience within the last year
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- PALS certification issued by the American Heart Association or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation
- Fire Card certification
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Required Certifications & Licenses
- License: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for California (pending licenses not accepted)
- Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification only
- Fire Card (must be obtained prior to or within 30 days of start)
- Additional Certifications: BLS, PALS, NRP, CPI, NIH Stroke, MAB, IV Certification, Chemotherapy, EFM may be required based on unit and clinical track (verify with clinical lead)
Compliance & Background Checks
- Government-issued photo ID and Social Security Card required
- Background check within 90 days covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; must be updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated monthly
- Education verification required for nursing degree (international education requires transcript/diploma)
- Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start (instant acceptable)
- References: Minimum 2 references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within last 3 years
- Employment application covering at least last 5 years required
Health & Safety Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
- Fit mask test required annually (completed onsite if no valid record within 1 year)
- Immunizations/vaccinations required or declination forms accepted for:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (2 MMR vaccines or positive titer)
- Hepatitis B (vaccination series or signed declination)
- Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer)
- Seasonal Flu vaccine during flu season (declination accepted)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
- COVID vaccination record preferred; declinations accepted with adherence to masking policies
- Respiratory safety clearance required annually for travel candidates
Additional Information
- Guaranteed hours: Facility may call off once per two-week pay period
- No pending licenses accepted
- RTO (Return to Office) restrictions must be included at time of submission
- Passport-style badge photo with neutral background required for badge issuance
- Annual mandatory regulatory and specialty-specific training modules required via LMS (Workramp)
- No floating required, but float policy acknowledgment may be required for regional assignments
This position is ideal for experienced Cath Lab RNs with current California licensure and ACLS certification, who are comfortable with on-call responsibilities and working in a busy acute care Magnet hospital setting.
