Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Cath Lab Registered Nurse for an acute care hospital with 212 staffed beds. The position involves working a 4x10 hour day shift (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM) with on-call responsibilities during weeknights and weekends.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
• Minimum 1 year of Cardiac Cath Lab experience within the last year
• Completion of at least one travel nursing assignment
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association or Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation

Work Schedule & Requirements

• Shift: Day shift, 4 days a week, 10 hours per day (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
• On-call required: 5:30 PM - 7:00 AM on weeknights and weekends (Friday evening through Monday morning)
• Weekend coverage may exceed every other weekend to meet unit needs
• Scheduling requests due to outside employment will not be considered
• Locals within a 50-mile radius are accepted

• Charting system: Epic
• Free parking available
• Scrub color for RNs: Navy blue

Health & Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
• Fit mask test required annually (on-site testing available if needed)
• Immunizations/vaccinations required or declination forms accepted for:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (2 MMR vaccines or positive titer)
  • Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer)
  • Hepatitis B (vaccination series or signed declination)
  • Seasonal Flu vaccine during flu season (declinations accepted)
  • COVID-19 vaccination record preferred (declinations not required)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
• 9 Panel Drug Screen within 12 months of start (instant tests acceptable)
• Respiratory safety clearance required annually for respirator use

Background & Compliance

• Background check within 90 days of start covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
• Education verification required (nursing degree verification)
• Employment application covering at least last 5 years of employment
• Work history verification may be required if reference exceptions are requested
• Various state-specific background checks and attestations may apply depending on placement location

Additional Requirements

• Photo for badge (passport style with neutral background) required
• Completion of annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp)
• Skills checklist updated annually for applicable units
• Float policy acknowledgment: may be required to float to other facilities within reasonable distance

Notes

• This is a reduced orientation position with 0 hours of non-billable orientation (standard is 40 hours)
• Prior travel experience is required; no first-time travelers accepted
