Description
CT Tech Travel/Contract Position
Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
- Shift: Day shift, 4 days per week, 10 hours per day (8:30 AM – 7:00 PM)
- On-call: Required for 2 shifts per month
- Weekend Requirement: Potential for a Saturday or Sunday shift (9 AM – 7 PM)
- Holiday Requirement: 1 holiday shift required
- No floating to other departments
- Charting system: EPIC
- Scrub color: Ceil blue
- Experience with GE scanners required; current scanner is Revolution CT
- First-time travelers accepted
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year
- Certifications:
- ARRT (R) certification required
- ARRT (CT) certification required
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Unexpired government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
- Background checks including:
- 7-year criminal history check (all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years)
- Sex offender registry
- Education verification (official transcript acceptable; diploma not accepted)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks upon hire
- Pennsylvania-specific:
- Child Abuse Search within 12 months of start (if applicable)
- PA Department of Human Services fingerprinting results within 12 months of start (required for PA placements)
- Physical exam within 2 months of start
- Fit mask test within 12 months of start (3M 1870+ model required; must be completed prior to start)
- Immunizations and health screenings:
- Current Tdap vaccine or titer
- Negative TB test (Qgold or TSPOT within 90 days of start; chest X-ray if positive)
- Annual TB questionnaire
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella: 2 vaccines or positive titer (exempt if born before 1957)
- Hepatitis B series, titer, or declination
- Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer
- 10-panel drug screen within 60 days prior to start
- Seasonal flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 – Apr 1)
- COVID-19 vaccine no longer required prior to start; exemptions require mask use at work
- Pass/fail Basic Dysrhythmia Exam required during orientation (1 attempt only)
- Completion of facility-specific education modules (~6 hours) prior to orientation
- Signed acknowledgements for safety manual and pass/fail testing
References and Verification
- Two professional references within 2 years of start
- Work history verification as applicable
Additional Notes
- Return to Office (RTO) required upon submission
- All required documentation and clearances must be completed and on file prior to start
- Facility will not allow candidates to start with pending results for background or fingerprinting checks
- No PAPRs available on site; fit testing failure may result in contract cancellation
This position is suitable for CT Technologists with at least 1 year of specialty experience, who hold the required certifications and licenses, and are able to meet the comprehensive compliance and health requirements.
