    Job Opportunity: Infusion Registered Nurse

    Location: Crescent City, California
    Employment Type: Travel/Contract
    Contract Length: 8 weeks


    Job Description

    • Provide chemotherapy and immunotherapy infusion nursing care.
    • Work schedule: Day shift, Monday through Friday, 5 days of 8-hour shifts (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM).
    • Occasional weekends may be required.

    Required Qualifications

    • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California.
    • Minimum of 1 year of infusion nursing experience, with infusion experience within the last year.
    • Certification in Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy (ONS Chemo Therapy Immunotherapy Provider Card).
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
    • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

    Background and Compliance Requirements

    • 7-year background check including Social Security trace with all aliases, county searches, nationwide sex offender search, education verification, and FACIS Level 3 screening.
    • Annual updates required for EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, and FACIS screenings.
    • Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start (excluding marijuana/cannabinoids due to California law).
    • Full 7 years of verifiable work history with no gaps over 30 days.
    • Two professional references within the last 3 years (Aya requirement, not client).

    Certifications and Competencies

    • Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Provider Card (ONS).
    • BLS (Basic Life Support).
    • Additional certifications may be required depending on position specifics (verify with recruiter).
    • Medication/Pharmacology competency exams as applicable.

    Health and Immunization Requirements

    • Physical exam within 1 year of start, cleared for work.
    • Fit mask test within 1 year, renewed annually (exceptions apply).
    • Immunizations and/or titers required:
      • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years).
      • Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 90 days of start, renewed annually.
      • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: proof of immunity or vaccination series.
      • Hepatitis B: series or signed declination.
      • Varicella: proof of immunity or vaccination series.
      • Seasonal flu vaccination during flu season (Nov 1 - Apr 30) or signed declination.
    • Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start.

    Facility-Specific Requirements

    • Review and sign facility policies including Standards of Business Conduct, Vendor Training, Code of Conduct, Overpayment Refund Policy, and General Regulatory Orientation prior to start.
    • Complete facility-specific documents such as TB questionnaire and conditional offer of employment attestation.
    • Photo for badge (per diem only).
    • Review parking and dress code policies.

    Additional Notes

    • Candidates with religious exemptions for vaccines or facial hair must complete specific exemption forms and obtain approval.
    • Failed fit tests due to facial hair require shaving and retesting; other failures may require PAPR training.
    • Candidates must disclose any work restrictions or accommodations during physical exam clearance.
