CT Technologist Travel Opportunity
Location: Bakersfield, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Seeking an experienced CT Technologist for a travel contract at a California hospital. The role involves performing a high volume of CT scans daily using advanced imaging equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience
- Active California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license
- ARRT Certification in CT (Computed Tomography)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Job Details
- Shift: Days
- Hours: 10 hours per day, 40 hours per week
- Schedule: 4 shifts of 10 hours each (4x10s)
- Weekend Requirement: None
- Holiday Requirement: Must work 1 major and 1 minor holiday
- Call/Standby: No standby or on-call required
- Dress Code: Teal scrubs (provided)
Department & Equipment
- 2 CT scanners (Canon 16 slice & Canon 80 slice)
- Average 85-100 scans/studies per day
- Imaging includes brain, abdomen, pelvis, spine, biopsies, drainage, extremities, angiography, and cryoablation
- Uses Radnet and Merge PACS systems
- Radiologist available on-site during the day and on call after hours
- No requirement to start IVs (nurses handle IVs if needed)
- Orientation provided by lead or senior technologist
Additional Information
- No Registered Radiology Assistants (RRA) support in the department
- Agency provides film/radiology badge to traveler
