Description
Cardiac Cath Lab Tech - Travel Position
Location: Aurora, Colorado
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36
Unit Information
- Unit: Cardiac Cath Lab
- Beds: 8 Holding Bays and 4 Cath/EP suites
- Staff: 16 total
- Patient Ratio: 3 staff to 1 patient in procedural area
- Equipment: Philips Fluoro Systems, Mac Lab, CardioLab for EP
- EMR System: Meditech
- Schedule: Day shift 6:30 AM to 5:30 PM; rotating on-call nights
- On-call: Must take on-call responsibilities with the team
- Housing: Must be located within 30 minutes of the Cath Lab
Typical Procedures
- Left Heart Catheterization (LHC)
- Right Heart Catheterization (RHC)
- Electrophysiology (EP) Ablations
- Pacemakers, Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillators (ICDs), Cardioversions
- Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE)
- Tilt Table Tests
- EP/Structural Heart and Right Heart monitoring
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist
- Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- ARRT (R)
- RCIS or RCES certification
- If holding RCIS or RCES, must be willing and able to apply for Fluoroscopy Operator registration in Colorado before starting
Preferred Qualifications
- ARRT (CI) or (CV) certification preferred
- Experience with scrubbing and monitoring during procedures
- Prior experience with Meditech EMR system
