Registered Nurse - Operating Room
Location
- Mullica Hill, New Jersey
Job Details
- Specialty: Operating Room (OR)
- Shift: Days, 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Hours per week: 40
Required Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience to scrub and circulate
- Expert level (3+ years) experience with Orthopedic Spine, Tobots, and Trauma patients
- Must have experience with EPIC electronic health record system
Required Certifications and Licensure
- Current Registered Nurse license in the State of New Jersey
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
- American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- National certification in Operating Room specialty preferred
On-Call and Weekend Requirements
- One weekend on-call per month, totaling 36 hours (24 hours on Saturday, 12 hours on Sunday)
Orientation and Onboarding
- Completion of full orientation is mandatory; failure to complete results in immediate termination
- Orientation includes virtual welcome meeting, online HealthStream modules, in-person classes (typically Tuesday-Thursday), and unit-based orientation scheduled by manager
- Must attend a Point of Care Testing (POCT) class outside orientation week
- Badge ID appointment required during orientation; photo submissions not accepted; badge needed for clock-ins
Additional Requirements and Compliance
- Must comply with background checks, drug screening, educational and employment verification, immunizations (COVID-19, Hepatitis B, Influenza, MMR, TdaP, Varicella), and other standard healthcare screenings and attestations
