Description

Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor & Delivery (L&D) (Nights)

Location: Great Barrington, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Temporary
Shift: Nights
Hours per Day: 12
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Provide nursing care in Labor & Delivery, Post Partum, and Mother Baby units.
  • Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, and lactation consultants to support birthing preferences and needs.
  • Work in a community hospital with 24-hour emergency and hospitalist coverage, offering inpatient medical services, general surgery, orthopedics, maternity services, and ambulatory surgical services.
  • Participate in a serene environment with private rooms, infant warmers, monitoring equipment, and specialized operating rooms for Cesarean births.
  • Orientation: 8 hours non-billable.
  • Holiday and overtime multipliers apply.

Required Qualifications

  • Current Massachusetts RN license (must be uploaded with profile).
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience.
  • Post Partum and Mother Baby experience required.
  • Active American Heart Association BLS certification.
  • Active Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
  • Active STABLE certification (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, Emotional Support).
  • Supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment.
  • Skills checklists for Labor & Delivery, Post Partum, and Mother Baby current within 1 year.
  • Must have own vehicle for assignment.
  • Permanent address must be included with profile.

Additional Requirements & Notes

  • Must include at least two specific interview dates/times of availability; "anytime" is not accepted.
  • Candidate must be located more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered.
  • Requested time off (RTO) during the assignment must be noted and verified at profile upload; no more than 5 days of RTO allowed.
  • Scheduling requests must be made at time of submission; requests after offer or during interview will not be approved and may lead to rescinded offers.
  • Work history and all required documentation must be uploaded with the profile for consideration.

However Rachel at Host is my Recruiter and has done an incredible job of cutting through the red tape and doing a lot of hand holding through the initial process.
