Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (San Francisco, CA)
Job Details
- Position: Registered Nurse – Emergency Department
- Location: San Francisco, California
- Employment Type: Travel/Contract
- Contract Length: 7 weeks
- Shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each
Variable shifts include:- 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM
- 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend rotation; no on-call required
- Floating: May be required to float to other campuses within scope of practice when census permits
Job Description
- Provide competent, compassionate, and cost-effective patient care in the Emergency Department
- Follow unit, department, and hospital policies, evidence-based nursing practices, and standards of care
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience within the last year
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Experience in an Acute Care setting
