Oncology Registered Nurse - Travel/Contract
Location: Santa Rosa, California
Specialty: Registered Nurse (Oncology)

Job Description
- Outpatient Oncology RN position in a medical oncology and radiation oncology clinic.
- Perform approximately 6 infusions and 1-2 port draws daily.
- Familiarity with Alaris Infusion Pumps and CADD Ambulatory Pumps required.
- Oncology certification required (ONCC or ONS).
- EPIC experience preferred but not mandatory.
- Great opportunity for first-time travelers; supportive management and team environment.
- No weekends or call required.
- Locals accepted.
Schedule
- Day shifts available, typically 5 days a week, 8 hours per day (40 hours/week).
- Possible shift start times: 7:45 AM, 8:00 AM, 8:30 AM, 9:00 AM, or 9:30 AM.
- Shift end times vary accordingly (typically ending between 4:15 PM and 6:00 PM).
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in California
- Minimum of 1 year oncology experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Experience in an outpatient setting
Certifications & Competencies
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification accepted.
- Oncology Certification (ONCC or ONS).
- EPIC experience preferred (not mandatory).
- Other certifications such as ACLS, PALS, IV Certification, Chemotherapy certification may be required based on clinical track but are not explicitly mandatory here.
Health & Safety Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO.
- Immunizations/vaccinations required or documentation of immunity/declination:
- TDAP (Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis) within 10 years.
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) - 2 vaccines or positive titer.
- Varicella - 2 vaccines or positive titer.
- Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination.
- Seasonal Flu vaccine during flu season or signed declination.
- COVID-19 vaccination record preferred; declinations accepted.
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months of start, updated annually.
- 9 Panel Drug Screen within 12 months of start.
- Respiratory Safety Clearance required for travel candidates, medically cleared annually.
- Fit mask testing not required at this facility.
Background & Documentation
- Background check within 90 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years.
- Education verification required for nursing degree.
- Employment application covering at least last 5 years of employment.
- Minimum of 2 professional references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting.
- NURSYS license verification required for all RNs.
Additional Requirements
- Passport-style badge photo with neutral background required.
- Completion of annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp).
- Must comply with float policy; may be required to float to other nearby facilities.
- No weekends or call required.
Notes
- Guaranteed 40 hours per week.
- Start date: ASAP.
- Return travelers welcomed and recognized.
- RTO (Return to Office) restrictions must be disclosed at time of submission.
