Description
Registered Nurse (RN) - CVICU Pediatrics
Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
Specialty: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) Pediatrics
Experience Required: Minimum 1 year of CVICU experience in a Level I trauma setting
Job Description
- Provide nursing care to pediatric patients with a range of health problems from simple to complex under general supervision.
- Manage an assigned group of patients, documenting responses to nursing interventions and medical treatments.
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures.
- Monitor physiological data and intervene as necessary.
- Administer medications, intravenous infusions, and blood products.
- Communicate care plans and hospital procedures to patients and families, including at discharge.
- Delegate tasks to support staff and make referrals regarding patient care needs.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Oklahoma.
- Minimum 1 year of CVICU experience within the last year.
- Experience working with Level I Trauma patients.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
