CT Technologist (Contract)

Location: New York, NY
Employment Type: Contract, Part-Time

Job Summary

• Perform CT procedures using appropriate kV and mA techniques to ensure high-quality diagnostic images.
• Conduct daily quality control calibration checks on all CT equipment before patient studies.
• Inject patients with radioactive material per physician orders and prescribed protocols.
• Maintain documentation including logs, manuals, charge documents, and report equipment issues to comply with regulatory standards.
• Perform quality control, quality assurance, and safety tests following radiation safety guidelines (ALARA principle).
• Manage patient films and electronic data for Radiologist interpretation.
• Order patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses one day prior to use and verify receipt and activity level on delivery day.
• May perform x-ray work during overnight shifts (midnight to 8am).

Schedule

• Sunday: 12:00 AM – 4:00 AM (double shift)
• Saturday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM (double shift)
• Total hours per week: 14 hours

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in New York.
• Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year.
• ARRT certification.
• Current CT certification.
• BLS certification.
• Injection certification for contrast administration.

Contract Length

• Approximately 9 weeks.
