Registered Nurse - Cardiovascular Surgery (Travel Assignment)
Location: Fort Wayne, Indiana
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Overview
- Role involves circulating complex cardiovascular and thoracic surgical cases including:
- Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG)
- Aortic Valve Replacement (AVR)
- Mitral Valve Replacement (MVR)
- Ascending Aortic Aneurysms
- Aortic Root Replacements
- Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Repairs
- Femoral-Popliteal Bypass
- Carotid Endarterectomy
- AV fistula procedures
- Impella placement
- Ventricular Assist Devices
- ECMO cases
- Thoracotomy and Robotic Thoracotomy
- Patient ratio is 1:1
- Unit consists of 4 Operating Room suites
- EMR system used: Cerner
- Scrubs provided by hospital
Schedule & Call Requirements
- Shift hours: 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- Call schedule: Every 5th weekday and every 5th weekend
- No block schedule option available
- Expected hours per week: 36
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Indiana
- Minimum 2 years of Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience
- CVOR experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Valid Driver's License
