Description

Registered Nurse - Cardiovascular Surgery (Travel Assignment)

Location: Fort Wayne, Indiana
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Overview

  • Role involves circulating complex cardiovascular and thoracic surgical cases including:
    • Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG)
    • Aortic Valve Replacement (AVR)
    • Mitral Valve Replacement (MVR)
    • Ascending Aortic Aneurysms
    • Aortic Root Replacements
    • Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Repairs
    • Femoral-Popliteal Bypass
    • Carotid Endarterectomy
    • AV fistula procedures
    • Impella placement
    • Ventricular Assist Devices
    • ECMO cases
    • Thoracotomy and Robotic Thoracotomy
  • Patient ratio is 1:1
  • Unit consists of 4 Operating Room suites
  • EMR system used: Cerner
  • Scrubs provided by hospital

Schedule & Call Requirements

  • Shift hours: 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Call schedule: Every 5th weekday and every 5th weekend
  • No block schedule option available
  • Expected hours per week: 36

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Indiana
  • Minimum 2 years of Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience
  • CVOR experience within the last year
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Valid Driver's License
