Job Opportunity: CT Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)

Location: Columbus, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Position Overview

  • Perform diagnostic radiology procedures including CT and X-Ray following established guidelines.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and ensure radiation safety for both operator and patient.
  • Conduct routine radiographic studies with typical department volume of 270-290 scans per day.
  • Use GE and Canon CT equipment; documentation via EPIC EMR.
  • Work schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM), rotating days including weekends and holidays as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid CT Technologist license in Ohio.
  • Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year.
  • ARRT certification in CT and X-Ray.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Required Certifications

  • ARRT certification (CT Tech specific).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS).

Work Conditions & Additional Information

  • Must have a permanent address more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible.
  • Charcoal grey scrubs required.
  • Facility is a large, 1,059-bed magnet hospital.

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

  • 7-year background check completed within 1 year prior to start, including SS trace, county searches, nationwide criminal search, sex offender search, and sanctions screening.
  • Negative 9 or 10 panel urine drug screen within 90 days of start (marijuana tested, no medical marijuana exemptions).
  • Physical exam within 2 years prior to start, indicating clearance to work.
  • Respirator fit test documentation within 1 year if respirator use is required.
  • TB test (2 PPDs, QGold, TSpot, or MTB) within 6 months of start.
  • Immunizations or titers for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B as per facility policy.
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required by specified deadlines.
  • Ohio state license verification required.
  • Medication/Pharmacology competency exam within 7 days of signing and within 2 years of start.
  • Color blind testing 100% pass required (online test with 2 attempts).
  • Unit-specific competency exams including EKG competency as applicable.

Facility-Specific Requirements

  • Fingerprinting required either onsite or at approved locations prior to or on first day of orientation.
  • Must complete and sign facility candidate agreement, confidentiality and internet use agreement, and service commitment prior to start.
  • Proof of current driver’s license required if job duties include driving.

Shift Details

  • 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM).
  • Rotating schedule over 4-week cycle including weekends and holidays.
