Description
Job Opportunity: Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Green Bay, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM)
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend required
Patient Ratio: 1:8-10
Job Description
- Specialty focus on Medical Surgical, MS/LTAC (Long-Term Acute Care), and Rehabilitation nursing.
- Charting system used: Epic.
- Local candidates are accepted at travel rates.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Wisconsin.
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
- Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience within the last year.
- Experience in Rehabilitation and Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) settings.
- Current certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID).
- Emergency contact information prior to start.
- Background checks including:
- Standard 7-year search (locations lived/worked/school)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM (annual)
- HHS/OIG (annual)
- Wisconsin Caregiver Screening (state-specific search)
- Facility-specific documents:
- Passport-style photo with plain white background (for badge)
- Confidentiality and Security Agreement
- COVID-19 Vaccination Attestation
- Hepatitis B Vaccine Form (attest to vaccination, declination, or consent)
- Health documents:
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray per guidelines
- Proof of immunity or vaccination for:
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella (Chicken Pox)
- 9 Panel Drug Screen within 1 year of start
- Seasonal Flu Vaccination or Declination (required during flu season, Oct 1 – Mar 31)
- Respirator medical clearance (annual)
Additional Requirements
- Two professional references required for travel, allied, or per diem acute care roles (within 3 years).
- One professional reference required for per diem non-acute care roles.
- Annual skills checklist completion required.
