- Night shift, 3 shifts per week
- 12 hours per shift (1900-0730)
- Weekend work required
Job Summary
- Perform independent nursing and delegated medical functions according to state Board of Nursing standards
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care
- Collect and assess health data to evaluate patient status
- Provide health teaching and counseling
- Deliver supportive and restorative therapy and treatment directly or through consultation, delegation, supervision, or teaching
- Execute delegated medical functions and refer patients for further evaluation or treatment as needed
- Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans
- Document care in compliance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
- Use resources efficiently
- May float to other departments within competency and qualifications
- May be required to be on-call during scheduled shifts
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado
- Minimum 1 year of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS certification
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Previous experience as a Registered Nurse preferred
- Additional certifications appropriate for ICU unit or service preferred
