    Job Opportunity: Infusion Registered Nurse

    Location: Tarzana, California
    Employment Type: Travel/Contract
    Contract Length: 13 weeks


    Job Details

    • Shift: Day shift, 5 days a week, 8 hours per day (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
    • Total Hours per Week: 40
    • Weekend shifts: Not required
    • Floating: Yes, occasionally to other outpatient oncology clinics
    • On-call: Not required
    • Scheduling requests: Not accommodated
    • Pending license: Not accepted; active California RN license required at time of submission

    Required Qualifications

    • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
    • Minimum 2 years of infusion nursing experience, including infusion experience within the last year
    • Experience in an outpatient setting
    • Oncology experience
    • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
    • Certifications:
      • Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
      • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
      • Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) or Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC) certification

    Compliance and Documentation Requirements

    • Government-issued photo ID required
    • Background check within 6 months of start date, including:
      • 7-year county residence history
      • Nationwide criminal search
      • Sex offender search
      • Federal district court search
      • International criminal search if lived outside the U.S. in last 7 years
    • Education verification of highest level completed
    • Physical exam within 1 year confirming ability to meet essential job functions
    • Fit mask test within 1 year (updated annually)
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year; if history of positive TB, additional documentation required
    • Immunizations/vaccinations required:
      • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (2 MMR vaccines or positive titer)
      • Hepatitis B vaccine series, titer, or declination
      • Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer)
      • Seasonal flu vaccine (mandatory during flu season Nov 1 – Mar 31; required for all candidates starting Oct 13 and after)
    • Drug screening panel within 1 year (excluding marijuana/THC)
    • Two professional references required, including at least one supervisory reference

    Competency and Testing Requirements

    • Medication/pharmacology competency exam with minimum passing score of 80% (2 attempts allowed)
    • Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam (time sensitive; multiple attempts allowed)
    • Pass/fail EKG assessment during orientation
    • Medication test during orientation (not pass/fail)

    Additional Notes

    • Photo for badge must meet strict requirements (passport-style photo with specific background and lighting)
    • Fire card training/course required onsite during orientation (specific to facility)
    • Candidates must review and sign facility-specific policies including:
      • Code of Conduct and Attendance Policy
      • Job Hazard Analysis and Safe Work Practices
      • Social Media Policy
    • No telecommuting or remote work options indicated for this role
