Registered Nurse (L&D) - Minnesota
Job Details
- Location: Montevideo, MN
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour shifts, rotating day/night or straight nights (no straight days)
- Hours per week: 36
- Patient Volume: Approximately 12-15 births per month (150 per year)
- Common Patient Diagnoses: >36 weeks gestation, pre-eclampsia, multiples; higher-risk or <36 weeks transferred out
- Cardiac Monitors Used: Nihon Kohden, Phillips Fetal Heart Monitors
- Electronic Medical Record: EPIC experience preferred
Job Description
- Experienced L&D/OB RN needed for a 13-week assignment at a Critical Access Hospital (CAH)
- Must be comfortable floating between Labor & Delivery and Med-Surg units
- Scheduling options include rotating shifts (approximately 2 weeks days/2 weeks nights) or straight nights with every other or every third weekend coverage
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years recent, applicable L&D/OB nursing experience
- Current Minnesota RN license
- BLS (AHA) certification
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AFM) certification
- Experience working in a Critical Access Hospital (CAH) setting
- Ability to meet Minnesota NetStudy fingerprinting requirements quickly
Additional Information
- Must be comfortable managing patients primarily >36 weeks gestation with common obstetric diagnoses
- No straight day shifts available; must work rotating day/night or straight nights
- Ratio varies depending on patient census
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this assignment
