Mammography Technician - Brooklyn, New York

Job Type

  • Contract (13 weeks)

Work Schedule

  • Shift: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Hours per day: 8
  • Hours per week: 40

Job Description

  • Perform routine screening and diagnostic mammography.
  • Demonstrate competency in mammography positioning, compression, and technique factors.
  • Ensure all radiographic images are appropriately labeled according to department SOP.
  • Evaluate images for technical acceptability and ensure timely transmission to PACS.
  • Complete all studies in IDX system.
  • Accurately record all required patient tracking information.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Mammography Technologist license in New York.
  • Minimum 2 years of mammography technologist experience, including experience within the last year.
  • Registration with ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists).
  • Must maintain MQSA (Mammography Quality Standards Act) requirements.
  • BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.

Additional Information

  • Must work effectively and efficiently.
  • Experience with document imaging and mammography systems required.
