Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse

Overview

Location: Fort Wayne, Indiana
Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
Contract length: 13 weeks
Setting: Works across two nearby labor and delivery locations

Required Qualifications

Active Indiana or compact RN license
2+ years of labor and delivery experience
2+ years of circulating C-sections experience
BLS through AHA
ACLS through AHA
NRP
STABLE

Key Responsibilities

Care for laboring patients
Assist during vaginal and cesarean deliveries
Provide couplet care

Schedule / Work Conditions

Works 3 out of 4 weekends
No call requirement
May float between the two assigned locations based on need

Unit Details

Typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:1
May be 1:2 in early labor or induction
Couplet care ratio is 1:3

Additional Notes

Hospital-provided scrubs
Local clinicians within 50 miles are subject to a reduced local rate
8 hours of non-billable orientation
Client may call off or cancel up to 24 hours per 13-week assignment
