Emergency Department RN Supervisor

Job Overview

• Location: Fall River Mills, California
• Employment type: Contract
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Nights, 4:00 PM–4:30 AM
• Hours per week: 36

Required Qualifications

• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Valid RN license in California
• ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
• ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
• ACLS
• PALS
• BLS

Preferred Experience

• 1 year of Emergency Department nursing experience preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and treat patients quickly, especially during acute illness or trauma
• Assist the emergency room team leader and acute care nurse as directed
• Perform assigned tasks such as EKGs, blood draws, and IV starts
• Document patient assessments, nursing interventions, and medication care accurately and on time
• Initiate emergency resuscitative measures according to protocol
• Follow medication administration and narcotics control procedures
• Provide patient and family education
• Maintain safety, infection control, confidentiality, and professional conduct
