Description

RN Oncology Clinic

Location

  • Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Schedule

  • 40 hours per week
  • 8 hours per day

Required Qualifications

  • 1 year of experience
  • Current RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
  • Current Basic Life Support certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Current chemotherapy certification
  • At least 1 year of chemotherapy experience
  • ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate from the Oncology Nursing Society

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 year of oncology experience
  • Associate’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing or higher from a board-approved program

Role Overview

  • Provides nursing care to patients with a range of health problems under general supervision
  • Manages an assigned group of patients
  • Administers medications and intravenous infusions, including blood products
  • Documents patient responses and changes in physician orders
  • Assists with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
  • Coordinates care with patients, families, and support staff
