Travel RN - Emergency Dept

Overview

  • Location: Kirksville, Missouri
  • Employment type: Travel
  • Start: ASAP
  • Duration: 13 weeks
  • Shift: Nights, 6p-6a
  • Schedule notes: Weekends required; blocked scheduling may be requested
  • Interview process: Auto offers only, no interviews

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Missouri
  • ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
  • ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
  • 1 year or more of total travel experience
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • PALS
  • TNCC
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Role Expectations

  • Care for patients across all acuity levels, including ESI 1-5
  • Manage a typical 4-5:1 patient ratio
  • Provide care for stroke, STEMI, trauma, and sepsis patients
  • Perform emergency department clinical skills, including triage, PIV, port access/deaccess, Foley placement, NG/OG placement, wound care, and splint/OCL application
  • Assist with arterial lines, central lines, and chest tube placement
  • Support patient transport and respond to call lights
  • Be willing to float to other departments when not needed in the ED
  • Be willing to help precept in the future

  • No 48-hour weekly guarantees
  • Level III trauma center
  • 11-bed ED
  • Average monthly ED volume: 1,100 patients
  • Serves patients from neonates to elderly
