ER Nurse

Location

Santa Maria, California

Contract

13 weeks
36 hours per week
12-hour night shifts

Required Qualifications

Active California RN license
2 years of ER experience
BLS
ACLS
PALS
NIHSS

Preferred

TNCC

Assignment Details

Travel ER contract
Float to another ER location as needed
Every other weekend required
3 shifts of unit-specific orientation

Clinical Setting

32-bed ER with 6 treatment chairs
Fast track area with 4 beds
Approximately 208 patients per day, up to 317 when busy
Common patient mix includes trauma, pediatrics, stroke, and STEMI
Ventilator patients are seen
Nurses do not perform lab draws

Staffing / Workflow

ER tech support available
Charge nurse coverage provided
Respiratory therapy and pharmacy available 24/7
Nurses must read and interpret telemetry strips

Additional Notes

COVID vaccination required
Travel experience is preferred
