ECMO Specialist
Job Overview
- Location: San Diego, California
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Start date: ASAP
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 3x12 variable; must be flexible to work days or nights
- Weekend requirement: Must be available to work weekends with full flexibility
- Floating: May float within scope to meet facility needs
- First-time travelers: Accepted
- Local candidates: Not accepted
- On-call: Not required
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in California
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- CVICU experience within the last year
- 1 year of CVICU experience
- ECMO ICU experience
- PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience
- NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
Preferred Experience
- 2 years of pediatric ICU nursing
- 1 year of ECMO experience
- Candidates without pediatric experience may be considered if they have strong ECMO training and adult experience
Assignment Notes
- Will work with ECMO patients across CTICU, PICU, and NICU as needed
- Must have full flexibility for scheduling, including weekends
- RTO limit: 6 days maximum
