RN Perioperative Circulator - Pediatrics

Location

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Schedule

• Monday through Wednesday and every other Thursday, 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM
• 36 hours per week

Assignment Length

• 13 weeks

Role Summary

• Registered nurse responsible for planning, coordinating, delivering, and evaluating perioperative nursing care for patients undergoing operative or other invasive procedures.
• Provides direct and indirect nursing care in the operating room and documents ongoing evaluation of care in the perioperative environment.
• Individualizes care based on patient health status, age level, and the procedure being performed.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Oklahoma
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute operating room environment
• Pediatrics OR - Operating Room (1 year of experience)
• Pediatrics OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
• Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
• Perioperative experience

Required Skills

• Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
• Strong understanding of AORN Standards
• Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services
• Ability to maintain good working relationships with coworkers
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Some computer skills

Preferred Education

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing or higher from a board-approved program

Preferred Certification

• CNOR
