LTC LVN/LPN Travel Contract

Overview

  • Location: Seward, Alaska
  • Employment type: Travel/Contract
  • Start date: ASAP
  • Contract length: 13 weeks
  • Setting: Long-term care
  • Patient ratio: 1:20
  • First-time travelers: Not accepted
  • Locals: Not accepted; candidate’s permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility

Schedule

  • Shift options: 4x12 variable or 3x12 variable
  • Shift timing: Days or nights, based on facility needs at start
  • On-call: No
  • Floating: May float within scope to meet facility needs
  • Block scheduling: Not accommodated

Required Qualifications

  • Valid LPN / LVN license in Alaska
  • Long Term Care (1 year of experience)
  • Long Term Care experience within the last year
  • One completed travel assignment
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation
  • Experience in a Long Term Care setting
  • Driver's License

Required Certifications

  • BLS

Compliance / Onboarding

  • Alaska Food Worker Certification is completed onsite during orientation
  • Must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 major winter holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s
  • No more than 2 weeks of requested time off will be considered for a 26-week contract
  • Pending license not accepted

Additional Notes

  • Guaranteed hours: 60 hours per 2 weeks
  • Charting system: ECS
  • Parking is free
  • A vehicle is arranged for traveler use during the assignment
  • Tire chains are available at additional cost
