Description

Registered Nurse

Location

Hattiesburg, Mississippi

Schedule

  • Night shift
  • 12-hour shifts
  • 42 hours per week
  • 12-week assignment
  • 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
  • 36/48-hour rotation

Setting / Unit Details

  • Postpartum nursing role
  • High-risk, fast-paced environment
  • Typical patient ratio: 3:1
  • May be required to float to labor and delivery to assist with tasks

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Mississippi
  • Post Partum (2 years of experience)
  • Post Partum experience within the last year
  • BLS
  • NIHSS
  • Neonatal Resuscitation
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation
  • Document care thoroughly and communicate patient information clearly and promptly
  • Support age-appropriate care based on patient needs and developmental considerations
  • Maintain clinical skills and stay current with relevant practices and equipment
  • Work collaboratively with the care team and follow organizational policies and standards

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift, handle, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
