Labor and Delivery RN

Overview

• Travel/contract RN position in Los Angeles, California
• Night shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 36 hours per week
• 13-week contract
• ASAP start
• Accepts first-time travelers
• Must be willing to float to Perinatal if needed
• May be placed on call if not needed for the scheduled shift
• 4 weekend shifts per month required
• Must work most holidays

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• 3 years of Labor and Delivery experience
• Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
• Experience with Epic
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• NRP
• AWHONN Advanced
• EFM
• Harassment Prevention Training Certificate

Required Certifications

• AHA BLS
• ACLS
• NRP
• AWHONN Advanced
• Fire Card for Los Angeles
• Management of Assaultive Behavior, MAB, or CPI with a physical in-person portion
• Advanced fetal monitoring competency
• Fetal monitoring competency exam within 1 year of start, with annual updates

Scheduling and Assignment Notes

• RTO must be submitted with the application
• No RTO allowed during the first 2 weeks of the assignment
• Maximum of 3 days of RTO
• One holiday RTO request may be submitted but is not guaranteed
• Once submitted, RTO cannot be changed except to cancel requested time

• Government-issued photo ID

• 2 professional references from manager level or above
• Skills checklist
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Fit mask test within 1 year of start and renewed annually
• TB screening
• Drug test
• Flu vaccination or declination during flu season
• COVID vaccination or declination during flu season
• Vaccine documentation or declination for required immunizations
• Pre-start modules and facility-specific onboarding documents

• Labor and delivery setting with triage, LDR, OR, NICU, and postpartum areas
• Patient population includes neonates, adolescents, and adults
