Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New York
• Med Surg experience within the last year
• 6 months of Med Surg experience
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• EPIC proficiency
• PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting
• Professional certification in a related nursing specialty
• Relevant skills certification such as ACLS, PALS, or TNCC, as required by the assigned unit

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, delegate, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing care for a group of patients
• Educate patients and families in health promotion and disease management
• Administer medications safely
• Support staffing, time management, supplies, and service utilization
• Participate in shared governance, improvement initiatives, and peer review
• Engage in professional development and mandatory education
• Integrate nursing research and current evidence into practice
• Support new employees and students

Clinical Notes

• Candidate should be comfortable titrating vasoactive drips
• Managing sedation for ventilated patients is a priority
• Weekend and night call coverage is required on a rotating schedule
