RN - PCU

Job Overview

  • Travel RN position in Kansas City, Missouri
  • 13-week contract
  • 48 hours per week
  • Unit: Stroke & Brain
  • 16-bed unit
  • Schedule: 3 shifts per week, including 3–4 weekend shifts
  • Floating may occur to other areas where competency has been demonstrated

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Missouri
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
  • PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • NIHSS
  • Cardiac drips experience
  • Stroke experience

Preferred / Requested Experience

  • Cardiac drips
  • Telemetry experience
  • Neurology experience

Unit Details

  • Patient ratio: 4:1
  • Tech support available
  • Equipment includes telemetry, bladder scanner, Doppler, Hoyer lift, Sarah Steady Lift, and Welch Allyn vital sign machines
  • Documentation system: Meditech

Dress Code

  • Navy blue uniform required
