RN - PCU
Role Overview
- Travel RN position in Kansas City, Missouri
- Adult ICU/PCU burn unit with mixed acuity patients
- 36 hours per week
- 13-week contract
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Missouri
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience
- Burn ICU experience
- Burn unit experience
- BLS
- ACLS
- TNCC
- NIHSS
- Hemodynamic monitoring proficiency
- Hemodynamic drip titration proficiency
- Cardiac rhythm identification proficiency
Preferred Qualifications
- Burn experience
- TNCC certification
- ABLS certification
Schedule
- 3 weekend shifts in each 4-week scheduling period
Unit Details
- 6-bed unit
- Float to ICU, PCU, and CCU as needed
- On-call not required
Procedures / Clinical Work
- Debridement
- Dressing changes
- Line insertion
- Chest tube insertion and maintenance
- Post-op procedural care
Work Environment
- Bedside shift report required
- Navy blue scrub top with navy blue or black scrub pants
- Scrub jacket allowed
- No T-shirts, hoodies, or sweatshirts allowed
