RN - CVICU
Location
- Asheville, North Carolina
Contract
- Travel assignment
- 13 weeks
- 36 hours per week
- 12-hour shifts
- Alternating weekends
Unit Details
- Cardiovascular ICU
- 16 beds
- Nurse-to-patient ratios: 2:1 or 1:1, occasionally 3:1 depending on acuity
- Travelers float to all areas
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in North Carolina
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- CVICU (2 years of experience)
- CVICU experience within the last year
- ACLS
- BLS
- Titration of vesicant medications
- Familiarity with pressors
- Sedation management
- Paralytics administration
- Experience with mechanical ventilation
- Tracheostomy care
- Telemetry interpretation
- Understanding of hemodynamics
- PA catheter setup and interpretation
- Transvenous pacing
Clinical Skills / Experience Needed
- Titration of vesicant medications
- Familiarity with pressors, sedation, and paralytics
- Experience with vents, trachs, and telemetry interpretation
- Understanding of hemodynamics and PA catheter setup and interpretation
