Registered Nurse — Medical Surgical Telemetry
Job Overview
- Travel/contract RN position in Crescent City, California
- Night shift: 3x12 hours, 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
- 36 hours per week
- 13-week contract
Required Qualifications
- Valid California RN license
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry experience
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
- BLS issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- PALS issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Unit/Role Focus
- Med Surg Tele unit
- Provides direct nursing care across all age and developmental stages
- Manages assigned patient care and directs ancillary staff
- May perform charge nurse functions
Additional Hiring Requirements
- 7-year background check
- Sex offender search
- EPLS/GSA/SAM search
- HHS/OIG search
- FACIS Level 3 screening
- California Medi-Cal search if FACIS III cannot be run
- Education verification
- Official transcript or diploma may be accepted if verification attempts are unsuccessful
- TB screening questionnaire
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray
- Physical exam
- Fit test
- Tdap immunization
- Drug screen
- Flu vaccination documentation during flu season
