Emergency Room Registered Nurse
Job Overview
- Travel/contract role in San Francisco, California
- 13-week assignment
- Night shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
- May be scheduled for day shifts as needed
- Weekend rotation and on-call required
- True float position; traveler floats 100% of the time
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in California
- ED - Emergency Department (3 years of experience)
- ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Additional Requirements
- Must review and sign required pre-start employment and policy documents
- Must complete required background, health screening, and work history verification items before start
- Unit-specific skills checklist required
- Full 7 years of work history must be included in the application with no gaps
Work Setting Notes
- Float coverage may include multiple campuses within the same health system
- Mid-shift floating is rare; reassignment is typically communicated before the shift starts
