Respiratory Therapist
Job Overview
- Travel assignment in Lafayette, Indiana
- Start date: ASAP
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM
- Schedule: 36 hours per week
- Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
- Call: None
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Indiana
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (2 years of experience)
- Registered Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
- ACLS
- PALS
- BLS
- NRP
- Experience working with Neonate patients
- Acute care experience with Med Surg, ER, and ICU
- Experience managing Bipaps, ventilators, and Heated High Flow units
- Experience assisting with intubations and bedside bronchs
- Certified Respiratory Therapy - NICU experience
Unit Experience
- Works across ICU, Med Surg, ER, and NICU
- Typical care includes ICU/CCU, NICU, and emergency care
- Experience with ventilators, BiPAP, heated high-flow oxygen, intubation assistance, bedside bronchoscopy, and EMR charting is relevant
Work Environment
- 160-bed unit
- RVU-based patient ratios
- Equipment includes vents, Drager V500, Aerogon’s, V60 BiPAP, HHFNC, Hamilton C-transport, oscillator, jet, nitric, and bubble CPAP
Additional Notes
- Pewter gray scrubs required
- Must be willing to work in a Level 3 NICU
- Team environment described as cohesive and experienced
