Description
RN Registered Nurse
Location
Fort Wayne, Indiana
Contract Length
22 weeks
Schedule
- 12-hour day shifts
- 36 hours per week
- 3 weekend shifts in 4 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Active Indiana RN license or compact RN license
- BLS through AHA
- At least 1.5 years of Level 1, Level 2, or tertiary experience
- At least 1 year of experience at a like-sized facility with 450+ beds
Work Setting
- Medical-surgical nursing care
- Floats only to other medical units
- Patient ratio: 1:5-6
Key Responsibilities
- Perform assessments and care planning
- Communicate with the interprofessional team
- Manage IV therapy, heparin and insulin drips, wound vacs, feeding pumps, feeding tubes, chest tubes, and heat/cooling pads
Orientation
- Jump Start orientation includes 1 day of general hospital orientation and approximately 5 days of nursing orientation
- Epic classes are included
Additional Notes
- Caribbean Blue scrubs required
- 8 hours of non-billable orientation
- Local clinicians within 50 miles are subject to a 12% rate reduction
- Client may call off or cancel up to 24 hours for every 13-week assignment
