ECMO Specialist
Job Overview
- Travel/contract RN role in Columbia, South Carolina
- 13-week assignment
- Night shift: 4x12 hours, 19:00–07:30
- 48 hours per week
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in South Carolina
- ECMO ICU (2 years of experience)
- ECMO ICU experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- CVICU experience
- Experience with Epic
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 or more years of CVICU/ICU experience
- CES-A
- E-AEC
- LVAD experience
Role Notes
- May float to CICU and CVICU as needed
- RN ECMO Specialists only; does not accept Respiratory Therapy or Perfusion ECMO Specialists
Compliance / Start Requirements
- Driver’s license or state ID required for computer access and must be carried while on duty
- E-Verify or attestation required
- Background check required
- Federal exclusion checks required
- OFAC sanctions list search required
- Education verification required
- Physical exam required within 1 year of start
- Fit mask / respirator fit test completed onsite during orientation
- Negative TB screening required
- Drug screening required within 1 year of start and updated annually
- Flu vaccine documentation or approved exemption required
- Badge photo required
- Online orientation modules and pre-assignment testing must be completed before start
- Contractor acknowledgment and floating policy must be signed
- CMS site documents must be read and signed by RNs
- Pass/fail testing required for RNs
- Core training modules required annually
