Job Overview
- Location: Morristown, New Jersey
- Schedule: 9p–7a, Sunday through Wednesday
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Call: Included
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in New Jersey
- CT Technologist (1 year of experience)
- CT Technologist experience within the last year
- ARRT (R)
- ARRT (CT)
- NJDEP – New Jersey State X-Ray License
- BLS
- High school diploma or GED and completion of a radiographer technical training program
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain supplies, contrast media, biopsy/drainage supplies, and linen for scanning rooms
- Maintain sterility, cleanliness, and orderliness of the CT work area and equipment
- Communicate with patients and families before, during, and after procedures while maintaining privacy and dignity
- Verify patient identification and follow HIPAA requirements
- Monitor patients before and after contrast injections and report changes to nursing staff and radiologist
- Assist with emergency response and urgent or unscheduled procedures
- Screen for allergies and medication incompatibilities
- Follow venipuncture and power injector protocols
- Perform QA/QC requirements and report equipment malfunctions
- Acquire, process, send, and verify images in PACS/RIS for urgent cases according to protocol
- Notify the radiologist of unusual findings
