Overview

• Location: Waco, Texas
• Employment type: Long-term assignment
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM

Role Summary

• Provides direct nursing care, monitors and communicates patient condition, carries out physician and nursing orders, and coordinates discharge planning.
• Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Texas.
• Telemetry experience within the last year.
• Two years of telemetry experience.
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• NIH Certification.
• Driver's License.

Additional Notes

• Must be able to work in a stressful environment.
• Must complete a specialty exam with a passing score of at least 80% and only two attempts are allowed.
• Must complete a core competencies exam with a passing score of at least 80% and only two attempts are allowed.
• Must complete an EKG exam with a passing score of at least 80% and only two attempts are allowed.
• Fit test is required for all travelers.
• Influenza vaccine declinations are accepted, but a mask must be worn at all times.
