Description
ICU RN
Location
- Bristol, Connecticut
Assignment Length
- 13 weeks
Schedule
- 12-hour shifts
- Nights
- 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend
- Holidays rotate with permanent staff
- No call or standby
Unit Details
- 14-bed mixed ICU
- Patient ratios: 1:1-2, with overflow up to 1:3-4
- Floating may include Med Surg or ER in a helping-hands role
- Nurses must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips
- RN titration of drips is required
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Connecticut
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
- ACLS
- BLS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Preferred
- Previous travel experience
Additional Information
- Navy scrubs
- 2-3 days of unit orientation, plus orientation on any floated units
