Telemetry RN Travel Assignment
Overview
- Specialty: Telemetry RN
- Location: Independence, Missouri

Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Missouri
- Telemetry (1 year of experience)
- Telemetry experience within the last year
- BLS
- ACLS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Management of vasoactive drips
Unit Details
- 36-bed telemetry unit
- Typical RN staffing with no techs
- Patient ratios: 1:3 on days, 1:4 on nights; with patient care techs, 1:4 on days and 1:5 on nights
- Floating to MedSurg units
- Rotating holiday schedule
- Bedside shift report, hourly rounding, and daily leadership rounds are expected
Clinical Skills / Experience
- Advanced assessment and critical thinking
- Management of vasoactive drips
- Central line or PICC line placement
Schedule
- Every 3rd weekend rotation
Equipment / Documentation
- BiPAP
- Heated high-flow nasal cannulas
- Alaris IV pumps
- Kangaroo feeding pumps
- Meditech
Additional Notes
- Designated education unit
- New cardiac monitors allow visual monitoring of cardiac rhythm in each room
