Assignment Details

• 13-week contract
• 36 hours per week
• 12-hour day shifts
• Unit: OBS 6N & 6C (Stepdown & Floor)
• 31 beds total across 2 separate units on the same floor

Required Qualifications

• RN license
• BLS
• ACLS
• Must be able to titrate drips in Stepdown and Heparin gtts on the floor
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips

Unit Information

• Ratios: 1:3 for Stepdown; 1:5-6 for Floor
• Common patient types include MedSurg, Cardiac, IDDM, COPD, Trauma, Ortho, ENT, Urology, and pain
• Charge nurse on each shift
• House supervisor in-house 24/7
• Nurse aides are present, with 3-4 for 31 patients
• RT is in-house 24/7
• No vents on this unit
• Telemetry is used on this unit, with tele techs

Schedule

• Every other weekend
• Holidays may be required if needed
• Call/standby requirement: unknown

Submission Notes

• Drivers license address must be outside 50 miles from the facility
• Previous perm candidates must have been gone for 2 years
• Previous travelers there for 1 full year must have been gone for 2 years
• Only 1 position may be submitted to at a time across the entire system
• Travel teams must be submitted together in 1 email
• Up to 2 candidates per opening may be submitted
• An unexpired copy of the candidate’s driver’s license must be included with all submittals
• Scrub color: Royal Blue
